Like vitamin C and olive oil, flax oil has benefits not only from consuming it, but also from applying it directly to your skin. It not only detoxifies your body from within, but it also helps clear blemishes, reduce acne scars and pigmentation marks.
The alpha linoleic acid (ALA) in Flaxseed oil helps skin cells to regenerate, become plumper and visibly reduces fine lines and deeper set wrinkles in the skin. As a natural cure for wrinkles, rub flaxseed oil on wrinkles about 2-3 times daily.
You can either apply flaxseed oil on its own or maybe mix it with a light moisturiser and apply it evenly on your face before you retire for the night. To ensure that you have smooth, clear skin, take a few drops of flaxseed oil on your palm and rub it for a few minutes to warm it. Then, massage your face with your palm for a few minutes. You can either wash it off with lukewarm water or keep it on for the entire night to give you a radiant, glowing skin when you wake up in the morning.
Flaxseed oil is a great way to fade scars and stretch marks. Rub the flaxseed oil on old scars and stretch marks after you shower and once more before going to bed.
Apply a few drops of flaxseed oil on your face for one hour before you take your bath and before you go to bed. Flaxseed oil sustains the growth and development of new, healthy skin cells, which can replace old ones that accumulate on the surface and often lead to an uneven pigmentation.
